Food is the most profound way to understand New Taipei City. 24HR NEW TAIPEI OPEN turns the exhibition space into a vibrant interactive supermarket that runs around the clock! With diverse local produce, a rich mix of communities, and the development of all kinds of trades and industries, New Taipei has woven a culinary rhythm that never stops, from morning to late night. It turns out that the street food we love is not just a meal—it is the nourishment that has fueled the city’s growth.
To present this round-the-clock food landscape, the exhibition turns four familiar everyday shopping carriers — the morning ka-tsí bag (woven nylon tote), the midday takeout bag holder, the evening red-and-white striped plastic bag, and the late-night shopping basket — into modern geometric symbols that guide visitors through four time-themed zones. From the lively morning market and self-scanning a bounty of local produce, to hometown flavors that bring communities together and warm late-night snack stories, step by step, discover the city’s journey hidden behind its food.
This is a journey of discovery tailor-made for visitors of all ages. On-site, you’ll also find a Food DJ Mixer, a custom bento-stamping station, and a limited-edition food gazette, inviting you to easily get to know this rich and flavorful city through fun, hands-on, and educational interactions!
